RESCUING SHADOWS: CINEMA DEATH AND MEMORY
The
film is still the essential film support. However, like everything physical, it
deteriorates and decomposes, leading to the disappearance of works that are not
only part of the viewer's memory, but that record and represent the memory of
more than a century of Cinema existence. In the film archives around the world it is developed a fundamental task: rescue
from death and oblivion these works, reconstructing, restoring and preserving
the memory of the twentieth century.
